When contacting any breeder, keep in mind that the more information you provide about yourself, the better the chance of getting a helpful reply. Here are some things to mention: Your name, where you live (eventually you will be asked for your street address but no need to send it at first contact), a description or pictures of your dog's yard and living quarters, any current pets, any dog and especially saluki or sighthound history, why you want a saluki, whether you want to compete in any sports with your dog, and if you have color or sex preferences (although this can also come later), and when you plan to add your new dog. Have you met any salukis or saluki breeders? Would you like to? It's OK to also ask ballpark price, but the exact price may not be known even to the breeder yet, especially if the litter has not been born. And it's fine to just contact because you want to know more about the breed!
