Ch Wynsyr Baghdad Lion Hearted at Maja

Leo has the heart of a lion. When his first owner could no longer care for him due to her terminal illness he returned to his breeders, then went to Florida to be shown by Rachel, whereupon Rachel promptly fell in love with him and offered him a permanent home. Leo was quickly major pointed with two BOBs over specials when he was diagnosed with blastomycosis, a life-threatening fungal infection.  Although he lost his right eye to the infection, and is still fighting it, his ever-cheerful and fun-loving attitude has kept our spirits up. He proves every day you can’t keep a good dog down, and we look forward to his return to the ring to finish his championship—and who knows what next?

Leo is Bambi's littermate (Pepe X Demi).

Update: Leo finished his championship in style with a Specialty BOW under judge Karen Dumke! And for those who asked: yes, you can show a one-eyed dog in all AKC events!
