SBIS Ch Wynsyr Baghdad Lion Hearted at Maja

Leo has the heart of a lion. When his first owner could no longer care for him due to her terminal illness he returned to his breeders, then went to Florida to be shown by Rachel Rehberg, whereupon Rachel promptly fell in love with him and offered him a permanent home. Leo was quickly major pointed with two BOBs over specials when he was diagnosed with blastomycosis, a life-threatening fungal infection.  Although he lost his right eye to the infection, his ever-cheerful and fun-loving attitude kept our spirits up during his year-long treatment. Once he returned to the ring, he finished---one-eyed---with a Specialty BOW! And then...a Specialty Best in Show!

Leo is Bambi's littermate (Pepe X Demi).  Pedigree

For those who have asked: Yes, you can show a one-eyed dog in all AKC events! However, we elect not to run him in lure-coursing for safety.
