Kitty started her show career by winning the BBE class at the National in June, went on to win BOB at the Galveston Bay Saluki Specialty in July, and then BOW at the Lompoc ASA Celebration show for a second 5-point major the next week.  Then tragedy struck and she fought for her life against a flesh-eating fungus for a year. She gained weight (because, you know, feed a fungus starve a fever) during her hiatus and never returned to the show ring, but she did recover and ruled the other dogs with an iron paw.
